Black metal identities often depend on tension between structure and disorder. Mirrored branches, thorns, long vertical strokes and compressed letterforms can create intensity, but the composition still needs a visual center and a deliberate outline. I use those elements to support the name instead of adding detail without purpose.
The direction can range from a more legible blackletter foundation to a highly abstract, emblem-like mark. References help define the atmosphere, while the final drawing remains original to your project. Candle forms, skeletal ornaments, ritual symbols or other illustrations can be integrated when the concept calls for them.
